New Office Location During the spring, Mobitex Technology has carried out the strenuous task of relocating to new office facilities here in Gothenburg. The office itself, along with the lab environment and all technological equipment, was moved from Lindholmen on the North riverbank to a large, airy office in Krokslätt. We are now comfortably based in a business district only two minutes from downtown Gothenburg. Moving offices is always a time consuming activity, and we would like to take the opportunity to apologise for any delayed e-mail responses during this time. Now that the dust has settled, we're looking forward to continuing serving the Mobitex community from our new vantage point. For any correspondence or visits, this is our new address: Ebbe Lieberathsgatan 18B S-41265 Gothenburg Our e-mail addresses, fax and telephone numbers remain unchanged. Upgrade "Down Under" In 2009, it was decided that the NSW (New South Wales, Australia) network would be upgraded to the latest hardware and software versions, in order to ensure maintained functionality and successful long-term operation. The NSW network currently features mainly ambulance traffic, but also fire fighters and road maintenance vehicles. The Mobitex network has been active since 2002 and is operated by Sigtec, a government contractor focusing on tailored solutions to fit their customers’ particular needs and customised to their operation. The upgrade project started on January 22nd, 2010, and spanned over a total of three weeks. The upgrade involved 3 MSN switches, replacing the previous MX switches, and an NCC software upgrade to NTE R10. Beyond the actual upgrade, Mobitex Technology also carried out installation and verification services, training and on-site support. Mobitex Technology are obviously very happy to continue the successful partnership with Sigtec and maintaining a positive relationship which secures a solid platform for many years of continued co-operation. |

Partner Highlight: Conatron This article is a message from Armando I. Escalante, president and CEO of Conatron, México. "Welcome to México City - a modern metropolitan city with a population of 25 million people, making it one of the largest cities in the world. It is also the home of CONATRON, a Mexican telecommunications company with great potential to grab a major slice of the local market. We are currently looking to create synergies with application developers and investors in order to form a fruitful partnership. We are well connected and have a great interest in bringing innovative and successful applications to the market. The company’s Board of Directors have a clear vision and strong ambition to become the operator of choice for companies requiring the highest service level for their wireless data communications. CONATRON has already deployed a Mobitex network in México City and its surroundings with a coverage of approximately 850 square kilometres. The market opportunity is huge, but also highly competitive as GPRS telcos operate in the area. We need to offer services that exceed those of our competitors, and we need to do it fast. If you would like to know more about the opportunity in México, please send us an e-mail today." a.escalante@conatron.com.mx conatron2000@yahoo.com.mx CONATRON was established in 1995, and has been licensed by the Federal Government and the Communications Committee (FCC) as a public network operator. |
